Aqueous Adhesive Products
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a newly created position to promote sales of Aqueous Adhesive Products on a global scale by identifying profitable markets with the respective product and market strategies and streamlining the supply chain. The Business Development Manager reports directly to the BoD of Jowat AG in Detmold.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Increase sales volume and profits by creating innovative solutions, developing the product portfolio, with the required strategic and planning operations
• Communicate the planning and strategies internally and externally
• Customer contacts to promote the products
• Promote specific product and application know-how throughout the organisation, with input into internal quality processes and logistics
• Maintain high standards of customer service
• Monitor the Key Performance Indicators to control product profitability.
QUALIFICATION:
• Graduate level University or equivalent
• Technical and commercial experience on a management level gained within the chemical, coatings and polymer industry, preferably in the adhesives industry
• Data systems proficiency (preferably ERP or SAP, MS Office).
EXPERIENCE AND PROFILE
• Technical as well as commercial understanding and expertise is required to support the global sales force and to develop a growing business. A background in the end user industries; woodworking / furniture, textile, automotive, paper and packaging will be welcomed, preferably in the field of aqueous systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Marketing and business strategy experience. Well organised with good planning and analytical abilities.
